In light of the Coronavirus crisis, Bottega Veneta has launched a new initiative to help combat the uncertainty, fear and isolation.
A weekly itinerary features a chance to meet that week’s resident. You’ll be introduced to their favourite writers, artists and watch clips from directors they love. The Residency also features a guide to the best ways to spend your time online.
Over the weekends (remember those?) the residency will feature live music on a Friday, cooking a recipes from up-and-coming chefs on a Saturday and on Sunday, a movie night.
The residency’s aim is to provide a sense of normality and inspiration at a time when routines are disrupted and people are having to self-isolate.
With the UAE government calling on everyone to stay at home and the cancelling or closure of everyone’s usual forms of entertainment, the world is turning to virtual gatherings as a way to pass the time.
The need to stay at home has left many with a lot of free time on their hands and no way of filling it.
You’ll be able to pull up a chair and enjoy the Bottega Residency on Instagram, Weibo, Line, Kakao, Spotify, Apple Music and on Bottega’s own website.
Bottega’s creative director, Daniel Lee said of the Residency:
“Creativity and strength lie at the heart of Bottega Veneta. In this highly distressing time, we feel a responsibility to celebrate those values and ignite a sense of joy and hope in our community and beyond.”
