DUBAI MALL, Eid Al Adha, UAE, Shopping, Dubai Metro

Mid-length board shorts? Check. White go-with-anything sneakers? Check. Boarding pass? Check

Passenger’s flying out of Dubai can now check in their luggage and collect their boarding passes at the Dubai Mall.

Yeah, you heard us. Never mind the old wait until you get to the airport nonsense. Now you can do it while you’re shopping.

The service will run for airlines, Flydubai, Saudia, Flyas, China Southern, Kuwait airways, Gulf air, Saudi Gulf, Royal Jordanian and Ethiopian Airlines. It is located on the lower ground floor of Dubai Mall, inside Dnata and is run by Dubz and Dnata Travel.

As at the airport, passenger’s will be able to check in, print their boarding passes, weigh and secure their baggage, which will then be transferred to the airport and loaded aboard the aircraft.

With this service, passengers will now have time to dine and shop at the mall after checking in and not have to carry their baggage with them. Passengers will be able to use the Dubai Metro to get from the mall to the airport.

Antonio Fellino of Dnata Travel, UAE, said, “We are delighted to partner with DUBZ to offer travelers a convenient way to check-in for their flights from our flagship store at The Dubai Mall.”

Dubz Founder Abou Faraj said, “Travelling and shopping in one of the world’s largest malls on the same day has never been so easy.”

The service will run from 10am to 10pm, every day of the week. What is the price for this convenience? Dhs99 for one piece of luggage and an additional charge Dhs40 per piece thereafter. The maximum charge is Dhs249 for 10 bags.

The upshot of all this, of course, is that you can now shop your holiday ’fits and then check-in all under one roof.

All things considered, it’s the type of time-saving style move we can get on board with.
