What’s worse than sitting center row, center seat? Sitting center row, center seat and your preferred meal option not being available.
Emirates has launched a new initiative that now allows passengers to pre-order their inflight meal.
Passengers will have a window from five days to up to 24 hours before their flight to order their meal of choice.
Better yet, with the launch of premium economy class, a step up from the usual economy, passengers will have the option to choose from the business class menu too.
Veering away from pre-selecting your special meal based on your dietary needs, the new initiative allows you to select exactly what meal you’d like. Sides and everything.
Passengers would still be able to order their meals as you would generally do so albeit at the risk of your preferred meal be sold out. Our recommendation is that you take full advantage of the feature and ensure you’re dining well. This initiative will not only better passengers in flight experience but is also sure to reduce food wastage.
Emirates said that this initiative is a work in progress and there’s no timeline as of yet for the roll out.
