Inside Pharrell Williams’ $18M Glass-Covered Mansion In The Hollywood Hills
As a singer, rapper, producer and fashion designer, Pharrell Williams is a man who oozes style. It’s part of his very DNA and if his numerous red carpet appearances have proved anything, it’s that Williams is a man who understands how to make a statement, something that translates to his homes (read: sprawling estates). The latest home belonging to the 13 time Grammy award-winner to hit the market is a Hollywood Hills mansion located in LA’s storied Laurel Canyon.
Designed by architect Hagy Belzberg, the impressive structure dazzles viewers with its pristine glass exterior and a façade that seems to reflect the natural elements that make up its surroundings. Not surprisingly, the home has come to be known as the Skyline Residence and has been listed for a staggering $11.95 million USD.
Avid fans of the music artist might see a resemblance emerge from the Skyline Residence and Pharrell’s Beverly Hills mansion, an ultra-modern property that sits on four acres and hit the market with a $16.95 million USD price-tag. Clearly, Pharrell has a type when it comes to architectural design: clean, minimal, open, and preferably with sweeping views of the city and valley below.
The Skyline Residence stretches across 1.5 acres on a ridge-top. Covered in concrete and glass, the low-slung abode boasts vast open living spaces with clean lines, hardwood floors and gallery walls finished in white which serve to bring added light into the home and make it appear even more vast. According to LA Times, highlights include “a spacious foyer, minimal kitchen and dining area anchored by a garden wall. The master suite, one of five bedrooms, tacks on a built-in fireplace and green marble bathroom.”
Considering that records show Pharrell paid $7.14 million USD for the residence back in2015, should it fetch the new asking price, he could stand to make a considerable profit. With its walls of glass that open out to the beautiful garden area where lawn adjoins an infinity pool, it seems that if we were to stay in a state of lockdown for the remainder of the year, you would struggle to find a better place to spend quarantine.
And if that wasn’t enough to keep you entertained, there’s also the two-storey guesthouse with a bedroom, kitchen, front garden and movie projector – you know, just in case isolating with your partner gets too much for you.
The property is currently on the listing of Kurt Rapport and Drew Meyers of Westside Estate Agency. All images are courtesy of Realtor.com.
