Mo Salah In Dubai: This Guy Just Can't Stop Winning
For Mohamed Salah, 2018 was a year to remember - you only need to cast your eye over the December/January cover of GQ Middle East to see that - and the awards continued to flow for the Liverpool and Egypt icon at the 10th annual Mohammed Bin Rashid Creative Sports Awards in Dubai.
While Salah was honoured with the Outstanding Arab Athlete prize, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, chairman of Premier League Champions Manchester City, was another big winner, claiming the Local Sports Personality award.
The awards were presented by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council at the World Trade Centre’s Sheikh Rashid Ballroom, and other winners included Turki Al Sheikh of Saudi Arabia for Arab Sports Personality.

It's been a big week for sport in the The Mohammed Bin Rashid Creative Sports Awards came only days after the Globe Soccer Awards at which Cristiano Ronaldo was the star attraction.
The Juventus and Portugal superstar edged out French FIFA World Cup-winning pair Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann to lift the Best Player of the Year award, which was presented by Mattar Al Tayer, Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
It was the fifth time the 33 year-old had won the title and follows his successes of 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2017.
While in Dubai, Ronaldo posed for selfies with Sheikh Hamdan, and the Dubai Crown Prince tweeted a photo of the two with the caption; "A great player and a greater friend @Cristiano".
