A Step Up

The Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 sits on 22-inch wheels as standard (23’s are available for aspiring high jumpers). However, upon opening the door to the GLS, the car’s air suspension will deflate and a running board will emerge from between the wheels so that you can step into the cabin like the boss that you clearly are.

Cold Comfort

Once inside, the giant, 10-year aged, nappa leather seats— all temperature controlled with in-built massagers— also come with cup holders. Pretty standard, right? Wrong. They’re temperature controlled too so you can keep your coffee hot and your soft drinks...not.

New Car Smell

Mercedes Maybach have taken the concept of the ‘new car smell’ and turbocharged it. The GLS 600 doesn’t just smell new, it smells unique. Specially developed for the model, the interior smells of white osmanthus blossom, with notes of leather and tea.

Fully charged

Talking of turbocharging, the GLS’s 4 litre engine has two. The biturbo, 550bhp V8 will drag this near 3-tonne beast to 100kph in under 5 seconds.

Backseat driving

The punchy V8 under the bonnet is great fun to drive, but this isn’t a car you buy to drive yourself. As such, if your chauffeur’s right foot is getting a little heavy, you can select a new Maybach Mode which will limit their acceleration capacity and reduce gear shifts for a ride smoother than.
