In a city where luxury is taken as standard with regards the ever increasing hotel mix, the most entertaining aspect can often come via watching the luxurious one-upmanship in action. Just when you think you have the lay of the land, another hotel comes in with an out of this world option that trumps all else. Well, we think that Habtoor Palace Dubai might well be in first place for the foreseeable future.
Found in a great central Dubai location at Al Habtoor City, it's actually one of the three five-star hotels in the district. You'll also find some of the city’s best dining, leisure and entertainment offerings there, too, not to mention the small matter of the region’s number one show, La Perle by Dragone.
But back to the luxury. Driving up the entrance of Habtoor Palace Dubai, you travel through a rare site of lush landscaped gardens. Aptly named the Versailles Gardens, it's a natural swerve that sets the tone for what you find inside. Namely, the twin marble staircase that leads to the mezzanine floor. Struggling with directions? Not to worry, a top-hatted butler will be on hand to escort you through the hotel and to your room or suite.
And speaking of suites, it would be remiss of us not to highlight three that set the standards in the Habtoor Palace Dubai experience; the Sir Winston Churchill Suite, Bentley Suite and Royal Suite, each which comes with its own butler service.
Sir Winston Churchill Suite
The Sir Winston Churchill Suite is an iconic, two-storey, one-of-a-kind, located on the highest floor of the hotel and offers a vast living room, an elegant study and lounge. This ultra-luxe suite features three bedrooms, one containing a master bed, king bed and the other a twin bed, all featuring their own double vanity bathrooms.
The master bedroom is connected to its own spacious bathroom where a huge bathtub takes centre stage, allowing guests to relax in privacy before attending dinner in the suite’s 12-seater dining room. The suite also houses a collection of 15 paintings and art pieces from the Churchill family archives.
The suite’s crowning glory is a stunning in-room spiral staircase that leads to a private rooftop plunge pool, complete with panoramic views of the landscaped gardens and a majlis that is ideal for meetings.
Inspired by the bespoke craftsmanship of the flagship Bentley – oh, incidentally, your airport pick-up will come via the iconic British car, too – this unique suite is the ideal setting for the discerning car lover to unwind and relax. Styled in a muted palette of creams and neutral tones, the 2,098-square-foot space is filled with signature details from Bentley, including rich wood furnishings that evoke burl-veneer dashboards, herringbone-pattern curtains trimmed with actual seat belts, silk carpet and Breitling clocks mounted on the wall.
The custom-designed one-bedroom suite includes a generously sized living room with a dining area for 10 guests as well as a study. Quietly showcasing the Bentley’s luxe design features, the suite pays homage to the brand’s timeless style synonymous with commitment to artisanship and use of the finest materials.
This 358sqm accommodation features a rather large welcome area and study, which leads to the living room, an eight-seater dining room with bar area, a majlis-style lounge and a spa room, that offers a perfect haven for regal relaxation.
The bedroom boasts a Habtoor Palace signature bed complete with select linens and pillows, with the room connecting to a large dressing room and bathroom outfitted with marble finishes, a bathtub and a separate rain shower. While it might maintain an old-school luxe quality, the suite is fitted with all the tech you could need. One final flex? The services of a 24-hour-a-day butler. Because, let’s be honest, who knows when you're going to need your pillows plumped, right?
