When Reebok and master collaborator Ian Paley set out to drop a new shoe, they didn’t know it’d take a year. But, with the all-new Zig Kinetica, it’s fair to say: this was one project that was worth the wait

Rule number one for a coppable collab? It’s got to make sense. Take Reebok and Ian Paley, for instance. The British designer – and founder of Garbstore – has a long-standing affiliation with the brand from Bolton, England. It’s a connection born out of a partnership in 2013, when Paley spent time taking apart Reebok’s classic silhouettes as inspiration for a collection neatly captioned: “Outside-In”. Although the ZigTech in this sneaker, the Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 1, harks back to its iteration as a 2010 running shoe, Paley is at pains to stress that this new shoe (which has a fresh drop in December) is firmly in the lifestyle category. With appearances on feet at New York and Paris fashion weeks, it’s clearly a vibe that’s catching on.

The first drop of the Zig Kinetica Concept_1 Ian Paley collaboration featuring the black silhouette, is now available in stores. The second drop featuring the white silhouette, will be released on December 4 and also available at Sole DXB on 6th and 7th at the Reebok stand.
