The Galleria Al Maryah Island Expansion Will Give You A Serious Wardrobe Upgrade
While the UAE has long since wrapped up a global reputation for being a much-loved shopping destination, that doesn’t mean we expect a collection of the world’s biggest and best malls to be the end of it. On the contrary, give us bigger malls, more brands, more options. Which is why we’re so happy about the expansion of The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi.

Chang’s and a the introduction of Central Kitchens, a unique dining concept designed by acclaimed architect David Rockwell and Rockwell Group. They can play in landscaped urban rooftop parks and at world-class entertainment destinations – catching the latest blockbusters at The Galleria’s flagship 21-screen VOX Cinema with IMAX, and they can shop the best selection of over 250 international brands.
But the contemporary styling has tradition running through its core, and unique art installations, created exclusively for The Galleria by local and international artists, pay homage to the culture and heritage of Abu Dhabi. Decorating public spaces, artists including Sheikh Firdous, Julia Ibbini, Ahmed Al Zarooni and Soroshi Michelle highlight traditional and ancient arts such as Sadu Weaving and Nabati poetry. Elsewhere, installations speak of Abu Dhabi’s natural landscape, and the city’s present day multiculturalism.
If you’re looking for exclusives, then Charlotte Tilbury unveiled the “NEW! Airbrush Flawless Foundation”. It is the brand’s biggest launch of the year, and is not available anywhere else in the region for another 10 days.
With a whole range of events planned – from The Galleria’s “100 Weekend” – where visitors can win gifts from some of the world’s most popular brands – to its first ever street party in November, there’s more to this place than pure retail alone.
