EDITIONS Spa has the full wellness spectrum covered

You don’t have to know your downward facing dog from your sun salutation to start yoga. The practice can be enjoyed by even the most flexibly-challenged as a way to take your brain down a gear and relieve muscle stress. And it’s growing in popularity with men too – once largely thought of as an exercise favoured by women, in the last decade the number of men taking up yoga has more than doubled.

If you fancy giving it a try, you’re in good company. Celebrities such as David Beckham, Prince Harry, and former GQ Middle East cover star Mo Salah are amongst fans. In fact, New Zealand rugby team The All Blacks, famed for their fierce haka chant, use yoga as part of their training regime.

EDITIONS Spa at The Abu Dhabi EDITION has a wide spectrum of yoga covered, with classes including Hatha, Ashtanga and Power yoga for beginners and experienced levels. Yogi Rakesh Kumar is at the helm, sharing his vast knowledge with the spa’s practitioners in order to make classes as authentic as possible.

Editions Spa

The spa offers a 360-approach to wellness, with separate zones for men and women, as well as two Hammams, a couples treatment room, a dedicated facial room, and two swimming pools. You’ll also find two gyms equipped with free-weights, yoga mats, exercise balls and premium cardio equipment. And once you’ve got your body and mind in check, you can finish with a trip to the on-site barbers, Chaps & Co.

You should leave looking as good as you feel.
