Bulk Your Arms With Chris Hemsworth’s Devastating Dumbbell Workout
Chris Hemsworth may have proved his acting prowess in Thor, but since launching his fitness and wellness app, Centr, he’s also become the poster-boy for fitness. You’d think it obvious with that six-pack and impressive build, but Hemsworth isn’t just strong – he’s fit, with endurance, speed, agility and all that comes with it packed into one genetically-blessed human form.
But while you could chalk up such a body to Hollywood paycheques and personal chefs catering to his nutritional needs, Hemsworth continues to bring us a dose of fitness content that demonstrates how we can also get ripped (or at least try to). The workouts, much like his app, are easy to follow and celebrate high-intensity training that gets the most effective workout done in minimal time. The only caveat? It’s bloody hard.
In a post shared to his countless Instagram followers, the 36-year-old actor proved that age is just a number as he smashed through a dumbbell workout that looks positively painful merely watching the exercises unfold. But of course, when you’ve played Thor and have come to be regarded as the human Norse god IRL, the workout is made to look all too easy.
To start, Hemsworth rips through a set of bent-over rows, then transitions into suitcase deadlifts. He carries the weights to another pair of dumbbells a short distance away, then trades out the first pair and knocks out a set of curls to presses. The dumbbells are again ditched as he runs across the field.
It certainly looks gruelling just with the one set, but Hemsworth advises followers to give the circuit a go six times through. Perfect for the gym as well as for those seeking to get fit at home, Hemsworth proves that you don’t need fancy equipment or elaborate tools to get that gym-honed physique we all aspire to come the warmer months.
While this will certainly be our go-to arm workout for the summer, if you’re a fan of this you might want to go ahead and try the app – believe us, we’re not sponsored, we’re just fans. Centr provides nutritional guidance as well as workouts from celebrated trainers like Da Rulk, Luke Zocchi, and Michael Oladije Jr. The workouts are divided into reps and sets, and you get video coaching alongside them. You can read about our endeavours trying the Centr app here, where we explain just why we’re hooked on it.
