Chris Hemsworth Has Dropped A Bulldozer Of A Workout To Break Your Week
Here at GQ, we're already well-established fans of Chris Hemsworth's wellness app, Centr. It's chocked full of great workouts, better recipes, and has the kind of fitness community around it that has genuinely inspired people into taking on an entirely different level of fitness. It has also established Hemsworth himself as one of Hollywood's fitness crown princes, if he wasn't already.
Key to the success of Centr is trainer Luke Zocchi, who we chatted to just last month, and who also curates a number of workouts in his 'HIRT' style of high intensity interval training. It's a formula that Hemsworth has stuck to almost religiously in his time bulking up and slimming down to play roles like Thor and Billy Lee in Bad Times at the El Royale, and one that when implemented right, will leave you a quivering mess in the gym.
Take, for instance, this brutal circuit workout that Hemsworth posted on his own Instagram for you to work along with. The formula is simple: 6 brutal compound exercises at relatively high weight, 6 reps per exercise, all performed as a superset with a minute's rest between circuits and none between exercises.
Oh yeah, 6 rounds as well.
