The gyms may be closed, but your six-pack goals are alive and well

You’re in the nether world now, friends. A closed off, up is down, down is up, time has no meaning-type existence. It’s basically like living in a Las Vegas casino, which means your diet was likely shot to pieces long ago.

Hold on though, put the stale pizza down, because while the gyms in the region may have shut their doors, a number of them remain ready and willing to beast you (virtually) at a moment’s notice. These are the gym class heroes that you can stream each day to stay in shape. All you have to do is jump on their Instagram account and get moving.

Crank

You’re always guaranteed to get the workout with the coolest aesthetic from the Al Quoz-based boutique gym, but the posts on their Insta feed are really working for us right now, too. Expect Shape workouts for a body hit, Stretch sessions to keep your limbs moving, and an overall feeling of working out in a submarine... only one that’s been converted into your new favourite bar.

Underdog Boxn

Underdog has embraced the at home IGTV workout possibly more than any other Dubai gym, right now, and we love them for that. Checkout their Instagram channel and click on anything from 45-minute shadow boxing sessions to 50-minute yoga sculpt classes. All you have to do is leave it all out there, champ.

The Platform Studios

A great mix of classes from barre to mat Pilates to yoga that were part of a 15-day home challenge. Although the gym is now starting virtual classes that you’ll need to buy credits for, the challenge classes remain on-feed via IGTV and ready for you to tackle.

Barry’s Bootcamp

The legendary fitness company offer full schedules of live workouts that provide a much needed cardio blast. What’s great is that most classes require zero equipment, and the ones that do are generally just after resistance bands, so it’s an easy pick-up. Simply check out the schedule on their Insta Stories, be on time, and get ready for the pain.

It would be remiss of us not to include a CrossFit gym in the list, and we have to admit loving how they have embraced the reality of your newfound home workout. Hop over to their insta feed for workouts that utilise items you’ll have at home, grab a chair from your kitchen table and get that WOD done.
