Louis Vuitton’s Stratospheric New Fragrances Are A Pair Of Uplifting Bathroom Bangers
When it comes to disrupting the predictable rhythms of everyday life, sometimes all it takes is a small tweak to our regular regimes. That might mean investing in a new set of bedsheets, switching out the morning coffee for a fresh green tea or – better still – why not try upgrading your day-to-day scent? Enter Parisian super brand Louis Vuitton’s fresh new bottle, Météore. Designed to emulate, in the words of the brand, “an exhilarating journey, leaving behind the trail of one’s presence”, it is the latest permanent addition to its existing collection of five fragrances for men.
It harbours an ebullient mix of spicy pepper, cardamom and nutmeg teamed with richly masculine vetiver wood, but it’s really the sparkling citrus top notes of bergamot, mandarin and orange that give Météore the blast of freshness for which it earns its name. Apply a spritz or two every morning and break with routine in newly emboldened style.
If, however, you’re in the market for something a little lighter, brighter and even summerier then look no further than Vuitton’s other most recent release, Californian Dream. Created by the LVMH-owned house’s master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, this fizzy, perfect warm weather fragrance has been designed by Belletrud to replicate the mallow light of a Californian sunset; notes of mandarin, musk and benzoin result in a deep, crackling heat which feels as sensual on the skin as it does sunny on the nose.
A dab of Californian Dream for the evening and some Météore for the evening? We reckon so.
