Menswear designer Kris Van Assche introduces his first collection for Parisian label Berluti

Kris Van Assche took the helm at Berluti in April this year and has now introduced his first collection for the brand. This Spring/Summer ‘19 capsule collection serves as a prologue to his first full seasonal collection. The idea of this collection was to establish a blueprint – essentially create a whole new wardrobe for the Berluti man from scratch, allowing room to add more pieces in time.

Van Assche’s aesthetic historically has been crisp, yet imbued with fluidity. For this collection, he’s reinvented some of Berluti’s most identifiable classics, morphing them relevant for the future, and ingraining himself within the history of the brand.

For a capsule collection, it is all-encompassing and features garments for all occasions – from day to night and travel. The garments themselves are understated, allowing for a bare blueprint of what menswear is all about now; suits and sportswear.

The collection was photographed at the Berluti workshop in Ferrera, Italy.

The collection will be available to shop across the region in early 2019.
