Fans of niche trainers, silent auctions and zip ties will be hyped to know that further details of Virgil Abloh’s latest Off-White/ Nike sneakers have leaked on line. Slated to release a new take on the brand’s Dunk next month, further details about subsequent releases may have been revealed.
Abloh’s capsule collections for Nike have quickly become the stuff of legend, with retailers having to create online ballots to control demand for these most coveted of sneakers. Indeed, owning and then (shock!) actually wearing a pair of Off-White Nikes in public is sure to draw everything from a nod of approval to stares of envy from young and old alike.
Details of drop dates, styles and prototypes fly around the Internet like wildfire, so it’s often tricky to know if what we know is what we really know.
We digress. Details of the next capsule leaked to an Instagram account (@Py_rates_). In addition to the Off White x Nike Dunk Low dropping in October, Abloh is also working on a new Air Rubber Dunk. No pictures currently exist but if the Instagram posts are to be believed they’ll come in three colourways: White/ University Blue/ White, Black/White/ Green strike and finally, University Gold/ University Gold/ Black.
It looks like the styles will be released in the summer of next year and will retail for $180. If, that is, you can get your feet in a pair in the first place.
Still, the (approximate) 12 month lead time on that drop date gives you time to start handing out favours like sweets so that, come next year, you can start calling them in.
