Dolce & Gabbana's NS1 #DGLIMITED Are The Standout Footwear Of Milan Fashion Week
Milan Fashion Week is in full swing and we've already seen the Autumn/Winter 2020 collections from big brands such as Prada, Marni and MSGM. While the collections have been awash with baggy trousers, strong shoulders and Wall Street-worthy pinstriped suits, trainers have once again been getting a serious amount of air time.
At Emporio Armani we were served trainer-slash-nylon wellington boots, while at Marni crisp white runners were the footwear of choice. At Iceberg, James Long presented a lace-up hiking boot-trainer hybrid, which will look as good in the Outer Hebrides as they will on London's Redchurch Street. But it was at Dolce & Gabbana that we saw the best kicks and, luckily, they're already available to buy.
The Dolce & Gabbana NS1 #DGLIMITED trainers come in two versions – high top and low – and have been designed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who have signed 100 pairs. Worn with wide-leg, floor-skimming pleated trousers and knitted all-in-ones, the NS1 epitomises the focus of D&G for Autumn/Winter 2020, which lingered on craftsmanship. Made in a combination of a technical fabric and crosta leather, the trainers are a slight move away from the logo-heavy kicks we're used to seeing (there's still a touch of logo-detailing for anyone wanting to nail that trend) and comfort sits at the forefront of their design. Whether you wear these on your morning commute (before slipping into a pair of office-worthy Dolce calfskin Derbys) or to gain some serious street cred, you're onto a winner.
Available to buy now (you'll have to be quick as only 200 pairs are on offer), the Italian-made sneakers will give your trainer game that instant boost.
