I bought a double breasted charcoal suit some time early last year. I love my charcoal db. It was stitched by my tailor; to whom I’ve been a regular for close to a decade. He’s never let me down. That was until today, when I saw Michael B Jordan sport this Berluti number. I’ve been outshined.
Michael B Jordan attended the premiere for David Makes Man last night. The tailoring suit on Jordan is made of a double-breasted Scritto lined jacket, a Scritto Alessandro trouser, and Alessandro Galet shoes in Venezia leather. The look is completed with a black tee, and a pair of grey boots.
It’s a very versatile look, the charcoal db. Of course, under the direction of Kris Van Assche, you can expect no less. Dress it down for the day time with a floral printed Cuban shirt (or a plain white tee if prints are not for you) and any pastel coloured sneakers. Or dress it up for a night time occasion, not unlike how Jordan styled it.
The upcoming TV series, David Makes Man, on which Jordan serves as an executive producer alongside Oprah and Mike Kelley, tells a story of a 14-year-old who takes on the burden of providing for his mother while being haunted by the death of a friend. The show, set to release next week, is already garnering attention from critics.
