We take a look at Louis Vuitton's Objet Nomades collection now showing at Milan Design Week

French luxury house Louis Vuitton’s Objet Nomades collection always manages to steal the show during Milan Design Week.

Naturally, the pieces are immaculately crafted, but they are also fabulously fun. Bold, bright design statements abound in the latest additions to the canon, which will be presented in the splendid 18th century Palazzo Serbelloni. Highlights include Raw Edges’ playful Dolls chairs, the eye-catching Talisman tray by India Mahdavi, and the Campana Brothers’ Bulbo armchair, inspired by a tropical flower.

But the most Instagrammed design is sure to be Zanellato/Bortotto’s braided leather Mandala screen. The delicate colours – soft grey, light pink and deep blue – evoke the dappled reflections of sunrise on the Venetian lagoon to hypnotic effect.
