It's official, we're in lockdown – but if you were concerned that a lack of reasons to get dressed in the morning might mean fewer excuses to get excited about new clothes, we can assure you that your fears were misplaced.
Here, for instance, is one mighty drop that will make it easier to slip out of your loungewear each morning. Stussy (the skate brand that Kim Jones chose to collaborate with for his Autumn/Winter 2020 Dior outing) and Nike are back with a collection seemingly made for these days of self-isolation and working from home.
The pair first joined forces in 2000, when Stussy partnered with Nike to produce two new versions of the Air Huarache LE shoe. The last partnership was in 2015, when the two American mega brands celebrated 15 years of working together with a trio of Air Max 95 offerings. Now, for 2020, we're being given the ultimate stay-inside, cosy-club goodness.
The collaboration's standout piece is a cobranded turtle dove-hued fleece tracksuit, which we want to take every Zoom video conference call in going forward. Alongside this there's a black jacquard long-sleeve – again with Stussy and Nike dual branding – and two brand-new pairs of trainers: the Air Zoom Spiridon Caged 2 in fossil and black-fossil (oatmeal or beige, to you and I) and in pure platinum and black-white. Is there any greater flex than posting new shoes to your Instagram page while in social isolation?
