Qasimi returned to the catwalk with a triumphant show that spoke of hope, renewal and regeneration. Persian designer Paria Farzaneh’s show, staged as a wedding conducted in Farsi while people were fed locally baked Iranian pastries was a celebration of the ordinary human values.

Meanwhile, Saudi brand Pacifism continued to mix streetwear and tailoring with elegant results.

Here are our favourite looks from #LFWM Middle Eastern shows

Qasimi

Textures and silhouettes were broken up and rearranged with heavily shoulder-padded suits, and puffer coats worn over button down shirts. It felt natural and easy to wear but never lazy. Instead, it was elegant.

Paria Farzaneh

If there's a better example of the integration of Persian culture in the UK than a hand-printed Iranian patterned GORE TEX hooded jacket, we'd like to see it. On a day that could have been about anger, Farzaneh's show was about peace.

PACIFISM

PACIFISM make clothes you want to wear right away, like this sheepskin trimmed bomber. It's elevated streetwear, the kind that keeps you smart enough to gain entry to any club, with minimal effort. And that's a plus in our book.
