Tom Holland Is Showing You How To Master The Short-Sleeve Summer Shirt
Over the recent course of London Fashion Week Men’s, one simple item of clothing quickly caught our attention: the short-sleeve shirt. Sounds obvious, sure, but there’s something endlessly appealing in its boxy structure, Cuban collars and, in some cases, printed finish. An ideal companion for the summer season, it was a favourite among some of London’s leading designers, from Qasimi to JordanLuca to Liam Hodges. Now, it’s a big favourite among film stars too, with Tom Holland being the latest to master the striking staple.
Stepping out for the Spider-Man: Far From Home conference in Beijing this week, Holland was clad head to toe in print, including one of those oh-so brilliant Cuban shirts that we’re craving in our wardrobes. Straight from the shelves of Reiss, the shirt was navy-dominated and boasted a subtle diamond print: an effortless addition to summer styling. Holland didn’t stop the print party at his shirt, either: he balanced the blue piece with a black-and-white pair of checked trousers, sealing the look with some patent brogues. The devil was in the details there – we see those silver bands, Tom. Good touch.
Holland stood alongside his costars from the film, namely Jake Gyllenhaal, who also sported some navy through his straight-cut trousers which he teamed with a black knitted polo shirt. But the print was well embraced by the movie’s leading man. Our tip: add a Cuban shirt to your summer wardrobe. As. Soon. As. Possible. Wondering where to go for the best?
