The American visual artist’s work explores the archaeology of the present

Now that the madness of the spring/summer 2020 men’s shows is well behind us, we’re taking some time to reflect on all the fresh fits that we can’t wait to wear next season.

And reflecting is what the New York-based artist Daniel Arsham and Dior Men’s creative director Kim Jones hopes the French fashion house’s latest collection will inspire.

“The larger project that I’ve been working on lately is around this idea of a fictional archeology,” Arsham explains. “So if we imagine taking objects from today and projecting them into a potential future: What does archaeology of today look like in a thousand, or ten thousand years? And discussing this process with Kim: which items would be the icons from Dior that I would focus on?”

Watch the video below to see just how Arsham and Jones’ vision for the new season of Dior Men’s came alive at Paris Fashion Week.
