A slew of global talents are supporting the Lebanese designer's effort to raise much-needed funds for Beirut's communities

For over two decades, Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad has made a habit of helping celebrity talent look their best. He's dressed everyone from Miley Cyrus to Jennifer Lopez in his creations, and now, with Lebanon in a desperate time of need, his Hollywood connections are returning the favour.

Murad is donating 100 percent of profits from sales of his Rise from the Ashes t-shirts directly to Offre Joie, the Lebanese charity collective who are currently deep in the process of an emergency response in Beirut’s hardest-hit areas like Karantina and Mar Mikhael.

Since launching his campaign, he has been inundated with support from across the world, including the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Karen Wazen, Mohamed Hadid, Sofia Vergara and Courtney Cox.

The city of Beirut is still coming to terms with the catastrophic impact of the explosion on August 4. Murad wrote that the aftermath has been devastating. “I have seen the city of Beirut, my beloved city, endure so much destruction. In these difficult times, the only way for me to move forward is by helping in any way that I can.”
