A luxe take on the Apple Watch Series 4 release.

Tim Cook introduced a collection of new products during Apple’s big event – and one of the most exciting came in the form of a new-gen Apple watch.

The Apple Watch Series 4 is set to bring a series of new features to your wrist, featuring a 35 percent larger screen, an 18-hours battery life, a speaker that’s 50 percent louder, and – probably one of the most extraordinary features – an ECG app that allows wearers to have a heart sensor on their wrists.

"The biggest feature add to Watch besides the larger viewable image area was its heart health features, in particular, its ability to perform an ECG and also can detect Afib. Add that to fall detection and notification and I can see kids buying one for their parents and grandparents," Patrick Moorhead, an analyst with Moor Insights & Strategy, said.

Apple offers the product in three colours for its aluminium finish (silver, gold and space grey), while the stainless steel versions have polished and space black, as well as a new gold colour.

However thanks to French luxury label Hermés, those wanting something a little more fancy can buy their newly-released versions of the new Apple Watch Series 4.

The double tour (designed to wrap around your wrist twice) and single tour straps (a more classic one-strap design) come in four colourways, while the Rally and Deployments straps act as a thicker, and more masculine, watch band. All models arrive in a range of sizes and feature a colour-changing watch face that reflects the strap’s colourway.

Prices range from $1,249 to $1,499. The Apple Watch Hermès Series 4 will be available to pre-order on September 14, at Apple’s and Hermès‘ online stores.
