The Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 Is As Fly As You Would Expect
When forming a respectable watch collection, there’s little doubt that a pilot’s watch should be part of your go-to list. And while there aren’t too many more iconic than the Breitling Naivtimer, throw in a limited edition run and you’ve got the makings of a classic.
There have only been 250 pieces of the Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 Limited Edition released in the Middle East, which means that you’ll need to quick if you’d like to get your hands on a watch with 67 years of flight experience behind it.
There’s just something reassuring about the Breitling aesthetic. The familiar circular slide rule, the distinctive beaded bidirectional bezel, add the 41-millimeter stainless-steel case and clean three-hand dial and you have a stylish addition to your horological style. And let’s be honest, what better time to incorporate a pilot into your collection than during your summer travels?
“The new Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 is an ideal companion for our Middle East cosmopolitan travellers,” said Aed Adwan, Breitling Middle East Managing Director. “With its green dial, it has a fresh, contemporary look whilst drawing inspiration from the iconic Navitimer Ref. 806 and the Reference 66, a three-handed Navitimer we launched back in the 1950s.”
When it comes to the details, the hour markers, as well as the hour and minute hands, are coated with Super-LumiNova®, a luminescent material that ensures easy reading in all lighting conditions, while it also features a red-tipped central seconds hand, and a date window at the 6 o’clock position on the dial.
The release comes at a rather fitting time for those interested in pilot style. Following last week’s confirmation at San Diego Comic-Con that Top Gun: Maverick would be the long awaited follow up to everybody’s favourite Tom Cruise movie.
Align it with a battered leather jacket, mirrored aviators and the Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 41 Limited Edition could be your most fly style addition of the summer.
